Overview

Flowboard started with a familiar complaint: planning lived in docs, tasks lived in tickets, and nobody could see the whole picture. The goal was a single dashboard where a team could plan a sprint, track progress, and talk about the work without switching tools.

I designed the interface around one question — “what needs attention right now?” — and built it as a fast, keyboard-friendly React app with live updates, so boards stay in sync for everyone looking at them.

How it came together

01 — DISCOVER

Map the real workflow

I sat in on standups and planning sessions to learn where the team’s current tools broke down, then sketched flows around those exact moments.

02 — DESIGN

Prototype in the open

Clickable prototypes went to the team weekly. Boards, timelines, and notifications were tested with real project data before a line of production code.

03 — BUILD

Ship fast, measure, refine

The app shipped in slices — boards first, then timelines — with performance budgets on every route and accessibility checks in CI.
